Dear Editor,
I’m very glad that the Nichi Bei Weekly is publishing, as it has a critical role and responsibility in maintaining the Japanese community in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
I am a recent subscriber of this newspaper and everyone else who wants to have a viable Japanese community needs to also subscribe.
The Nichi Bei Weekly is a nonprofit and needs to be supported if it is to continue its very valuable service to our community. It’s like supporting your church, community center,  youth organizations and senior services.
Concerned community members will have to outreach to their friends, relatives and neighbors to join in this effort. There is much at stake. Plus they produce a very good newspaper.
