SUZUKI, JOAN TAMAYE, 86, passed away October 24, 2009 in Oakland, Calif. She was born on May 21, 1923 in Clovis, N.M.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Isamu Suzuki, earlier this year. She was a much-beloved mother and grandmother, and is survived by her sisters Kyoko Matsuzaki and Ruby Kawabata, sons David (Nobuko) Suzuki and Steven (Esther) Suzuki, grandchildren Michael, Jennifer, Mulan and Sadako, and great-grandson Matthew.

A 49-day Memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. at the Buddhist Church of Oakland, 825 Jackson Street, Oakland, CA 94607.
