SAKAUYE, YOSH, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2010. He was born on August 31, 1925. He is survived by his wife Keiko, daughters Susan (Alan), Donna (Mark), sons Ted (Debra), and Tom (Susan), granddaughters Caitlin and Jennifer, grandson Chris and step-grandson Gary. He is also survived by his sisters Fumi and Mary.
Yosh was one of many Japanese Americans interned during World War II. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army’s 442nd Infantry. He attended DePaul University in Chicago after the war and moved back to California where he met Keiko. Shell oil company hired him as a chemist and later moved him and his family to Houston, TX. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, brother and friend, and will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
