David Tambara

TAMBARA, DAVID 57, of San Francisco died suddenly on October 23, 2010 at Daly City Seton Hospital. He was born on May 1, 1953 in Sacramento to Hiroshi and June Tambara. He was raised and educated in San Francisco graduating from George Washington High School in 1971. He also went on to attend City College of San Francisco.

David recently retired as an Inspector from the San Francisco Police Department after serving for 33 years. He began as the first community relations liaison between the Japanese American community and the SFPD. He has since dedicated his time and service to those around him.

He is survived by his mother June, sons Chris and Marc, his beloved partner Donna Kwon and her three sons, James, Brian and Daniel. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
