KAMIYA, MASANO, 86, passed away peacefully at home in San Francisco. The family of Mrs. Masano Kamiya is saddened to announce her passing on Dec. 31, 2010 after a prolonged illness.
Dear wife of the late Tadao Todd Kamiya, she is survived by sons Roger & Stanley Kamiya and their wives Yukari (Doi) & Alice Naomi (Arii) and granddaughters Lauren Seiko and Sherry Noriko. She is predeceased by sisters Aiko, Asako, Nangko and Terry and brothers Taisaku and George. There is a large extended family in California, Utah and the East Coast.
Masano, a native of El Centro, Imperial Valley, CA, received her master’s degree in nursing and served as a kindergarten teacher at Pine U.M.C. in S.F. for many years.
Family and friends may visit from 3:30 to 9 pm on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. Daly City, CA. Funeral service will be held at Pine United Methodist Church, 426 33rd Ave., San Francisco at 2:30 pm on Sat., Jan. 8, 2011.
