KODAMA, PAUL “PK,” 84, passed away on December 23, 2010, with family by his side. He was born on November 12, 1926, in Florin, CA, and was interned at Jerome, Arkansas and Gila, Arizona, for the duration of the war.
Paul volunteered for military service and was stationed in Japan during the occupation. After his service, Paul was employed by Sylvania, working with electronics, and in 1953 was sent to Honolulu to introduce the television to Hawaii. Upon his return to San Francisco, he worked for Dalmo Victor until his retirement.
He is survived by his siblings, Ted Kodama, Florence Shikasho (Bert), Helen Vigil (Peter), David Kodama (Ernestine) and Agnes Lau (Lawrence). Paul will also be missed by his three nephews and four nieces.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Saturday, January 29 at 4 pm at Pine United Methodist Church, San Francisco, with Rev. Lloyd Wake presiding. In lieu of flowers or koden, donations in his memory may be made to Kokoro, 1881 Bush St., SF, 94109.
