SAN JOSE — Ann Muto, author of “Open Passage,” will hold a poetry reading and book signing Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj), 535 North Fifth St. in San Jose’s Japantown from 1 to 2 p.m.

For 20 years, Muto did not know her family lived in a concentration camp during World War II. The poems in “Open Passage” capture the confusion and frustration of her search for her personal history as well as the welcome relief she finds in her favorite wild places: Yosemite National Park and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve.

All proceeds from the sale of the book benefit JAMsj. Seating is limited. To RSVP, call the JAMsj office at (408) 294-3138 or e-mail eva@jamsj.org.
