BYRON, Calif. — Newly elected Byron Union School Board Trustee Jeffry Sugimoto began his term Dec. 9, 2010.

Sugimoto’s term for the seat in Contra Costa County expires in November 2014.

A lifelong resident of Discovery Bay, Calif., Sugimoto is a product of the district’s school system.

The 24-year-old is a financial advisor at SGC Financial and Insurance Services in San Mateo, Calif.

Sugimoto graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a business economics degree.
