WASHINGTON — The Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) is currently accepting applications for the 2011 JACL Mike M. Masaoka Fellowship.
The Fellowship Fund was established in 1988 to honor Mike M. Masaoka for a lifetime of public service to the JACL and the nation. Masaoka was the JACL’s national secretary, field executive, national legislative director of the JACL’s Anti-Discrimination Committee, and the JACL Washington, D.C. Representative.
JACL Masaoka Fellows are placed in the Washington D.C. office of a member of Congress for several months.
Applications should be submitted by May 2, 2011, via the policy@jacl.org e-mail address. The JACL expects to announce the Fellow by June 15.
