Holiday cards for hope

Are you looking for your holiday cards for the season?

The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California’s (JCCCNC) Northern Japan Earthquake Relief Fund is selling bags with a set of 12 holiday cards ($35) that the survivors from the Tohoku area — which was stricken by the March 11 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis — drew. These are cards of “hope, love, thanks and happiness,” and isn’t that what the holiday season’s all about?

The proceeds will support the relief efforts in northern Japan.

The bags will be available for purchase through the JCCCNC, located at 1840 Sutter St. in San Francisco’s Japantown, by the first full week of December. For more information, call (415) 567-5505 or visit www.kokoro4japan.org.
