SASAKI, TOMIKO TAKAHASHI passed away peacefully in San Francisco on December 20, 2011. She was 93 years old. Tomi was a San Francisco native and graduate of UC Berkeley (1939). She was the daughter of Shigetaro and Hana Takahashi of San Francisco, wife of Shigeru Sasaki, sister of Shigeharu and Edwin Takahashi and mother of Arthur and Kathy Sasaki — all gone before her. She is survived by her sister Kiyo Takahashi, daughters Joan Fujii, Susan Sasaki Lura and Ruth Sasaki, granddaughter Stephanie Fujii, sons-in-law Paul and Daryl and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. at Pine Methodist Church, where she was a member. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine United Methodist Church (426-33rd Ave., SF 94121).
