KIKA, WILLIAM H. passed away after a brief illness on December 25, 2011. He was 91 years young! Born Aug. 8, 1920.
Beloved husband of the late Joan K. Kika. Loving father of Gerald, Cecilia (Keith) Candace & William A. (deceased). Cherished grandfather of Paul & Susie Terasaki, Brother Shorge (Kitty).
He retired from the Baker’s Union in 1987. He enjoyed going to the Kimochi lunch program during the week. He never missed watching his favorite TV programs: Price is Right, People’s Court, Judge Judy, Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune with “Pa Lee”! He was a longtime 49er fan for 50-plus years.
He enjoyed going to Reno & Thunder Valley, where he became an “Expert” Blackjack player. Also, he enjoyed going down to Los Angeles to visit his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Also, he had good & bad days; you could tell when he spoke! “Another day shot to hell!” (bad day) “Well, we made it through another day!”& “Only nine years to go to a hundred” (good day).
Visitation was held Dec. 30, 2011 at the Ashley & McMullen Funeral Home in San Francisco.
