OBITUARY: Mary Sawasaki

SAWASAKI, MARY, of San Francisco, died on May 2, 2012 at the home of her youngest son. Mary was born in Chico, Calif., on Jan. 13, 1923, and moved to San Francisco in 1945. Mary was married for 53 years and preceded in death by her husband, Harry, in 2000. She is survived by her sister, Anna Niiya; her 3 children, Bill Sawasaki, Lynn Sawasaki Rivera and Steve Sawasaki; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Per Mary’s request, there will be no funeral service. The family will hold a private inurnment service.
