MIZUIRI, MASAMI, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 21, 2012. During his active 95 years, he enjoyed salmon fishing with friends, bonsai & gardening and visits to the casino. He was involved with the Buddhist Church of San Francisco, Soko
Hiroshima Kenjinkai, Boy Scouts Troop 29 and San Francisco Bonsai Club.
Masami is survived by his wife of 63 years, Toshiko; children, Jean (Denis), Gary (Lorin), Wayne (Patti), Nancy, Doris (Ed) and Sandra; grandchildren, Starla, Shane, Danielle, Remi and Lisa. Also, siblings, Harue, Yoshiaki (Kuniko), Natsuko and Kiyono; nephews, Dale and Neal (Kathy); and niece, Karen (Steve). His brother, Ichiro Jerry; and son-in-law, Bill Morton, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at the Buddhist Church of San Francisco, 1881 Pine St., San Francisco.
