A remembrance gathering for the late Jim Hirabayashi, professor S.F. State University, will be held on Saturday, July 28, at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, 1840 Sutter Street in San Francisco. Starting at 1:30 pm, the gathering will recall Jim’s life’s work in community, the university, theater, friendship and family. It is open to the public; casual dress is requested; light refreshments will be served.
Persons who would like to submit a short testimonial about, or photos of, Jim may e-mail items to Hirabayashi@asianam.ucla.edu.
