NIHEI, DEN passed away suddenly on Oct. 24, 2012. He was born Jan. 11, 1937, and was a resident of Berkeley, Calif. He was predeceased by his brother, Ryo (Sumi); and leaves behind his siblings, Ken, Jun (Michimi), Tom (Judy), Rick, Fumi; his longtime companion, Kim Onoyama; and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Private memorial services were held.
