HIKIDO, WILLIAM KIYOSHI, 80, entered into rest on Dec. 18, 2012. Born in S.F. on Oct. 19, 1932.
Bill and his family were internees at the Amache Internment Camp in Colorado during World War II. After the war, they came back to San Francisco where he attended George Washington High School and City College of S.F. He later enlisted in the Army during the Korean War. He was active with the Boy Scouts. Eventually, he became an advisor to Troop 12 where he met his wife Emiko during a jamboree trip to Japan. Bill was a hardworking individual who dedicated 21 years to Japan Airlines, and finally retired at the age of 79 with MIF Insurance Company. He was a very kind & loving husband and father. He is survived by beloved wife Emiko, daughter Grace Hikido, brother George Yamasaki (Jane), sister Rae Shimizu (Tom), nieces Doris and Carol Yamasaki, Debbie Shimizu Brewer (Dave), Stacey Shimizu, and many loving relatives. Contributions in his memory may be made to Kimochi, Inc., 1715 Buchanan Street, S.F., CA 94115. A private family service was held in his memory.
