Setsuko (Doi) Kagehiro

KAGEHIRO, SETSUKO (DOI), 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 25, 2013, at home in San Francisco. She was born on May 22, 1925.

She is survived by sons, Mike (Karen) and Ron (Mimi); daughter, Laura “Bonz” (Randy Otsuki); grandchildren, Kevin (Maria) and Trevor (Mickey) Kagehiro, Lorin and Erin Kagehiro, Steven (Kristi), Kyle and Traci Otsuki; great-grandchildren, Paige, Raiden, Lailah Kagehiro and Madyson Otsuki; and sister, Kimi Akiyama. Nephews, James and John Akiyama; grandnephew, Steven Akiyama. She was preceded in death by Satoru Kagehiro, her husband of 64 years.

Mom, aka Grandma Uru, loved playing blackjack, doing puzzles, watching the SF Giants and Golden State Warriors, and most importantly, spending time with family.

Per her wishes, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
