Sumida, Tatsuo C., 85, passed away peacefully on Aug. 14, 2013. Tatsuo’s childhood roots were in Los Angeles, which he left for Berkeley, Calif. He graduated from the Cal business school – GO BEARS!! Tatsuo was a teacher for many years at George Washington High School – BEAT LOWELL! Downhill skiing, tennis, swimming, traveling and meeting people were just a few of his favorite pastimes. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Yoko, daughter Lynn and her husband Duke, daughter Ann and her husband Ted and grandchildren Trent and Erika.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Halsted N. Gray-Carew & English Inc. 1123 Sutter St., San Francisco, CA 94109.
