MATSUNO, HEDY HIDEKO OKA passed unexpectedly at home, Aug. 1, 2013. Survived by husband, Frank “Shug” Matsuno; siblings, Bob (Mary) Oka, Jane Oka, Dr. Seishi Oka, Mitzi McCullough; brother and sister-in-law Yutaka and Toshiye Handa; sister-in-law, Mary Matsuno; and many nieces and nephews. She truly loved her family and friends and her extended cumulative ceramics family over the many years of creating pottery. A celebration of life will be held Oct. 5 at the JCCCNC; located at 1840 Sutter St. (Issei Memorial Hall) in San Francisco between the hours of 1 to 4 p.m. Dress is casual.
