YANO, PEGGY MASAKO, 94, passed away at the Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas on Sept. 14, 2013. She was born on Dec. 14, 1918 in San Francisco to mother, Miyo Furuki and father, Eizo Furuki. She is survived by daughter, Roberta Johnson; sons, Howard and John Yano; daughter-in-law, Lisa Yano; son-in-law Arnold Johnson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her three cats aka “the boys” — Tommy, Jerry and Toby. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of over 65 years, Frank H. Yano. She was the Yano family monarch and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was an avid sports fan who loved tennis, and cheering her favorite sports teams the San Francisco Forty-Niners, Giants, and the Texas Rangers. Peggy’s other interests including bowling, playing card games, and listening to music. At her request no memorial service will be held.
