MITSUDA, SHIGEO, 98, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2014 after a short illness at St. Mary’s Hospital in S.F. He was born on June 14, 1915 to Umekichi Mitsuda and Kiku Torigoye in Gardena, Calif., the eldest of seven siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Miyako Mitsuda. Loving father of Janice, Toshio and Mark (Linda) Mitsuda and beloved grandfather of Stacey, Michelle and Robert Mitsuda. He is also survived by sister Tadako and many relatives in California and Japan.
He was a long-time employee of American Fish Market in S.F.’s Japantown until his retirement in 1980.
A memorial service was held on May 17, 2014.
