OKADA, HIROTAKA, 87, a lifelong resident of San Francisco passed away peacefully on Aug. 27, 2014 at The Jewish Skilled Nursing Home.  Hiro was born to Choichi and Sono Okada on Dec. 3, 1926.

During WWII, Hiro was sent to a relocation camp in Topaz, Utah and graduated high school there.   In 1951, he married the love of his life, Mary Igarashi.  They had a wonderful and loving marriage of 58 years.  He was drafted into the Army in 1952.  His brother Harry Okada, sister Katherine Jofuku, daughter Donna and wife Mary, predeceases Hiro.

Hiro was co-owner of the Golden State Cleaners for many years.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his friends at Lake Tahoe. He loved classical music, art, the 49ers and going to the beach.  Hiro was a lifetime member of VFW Post 9879 and the JCCCNC.

Hiro is survived by his brother George Okada, sister Mae Ura (Frank) and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.  His family and friends will miss him.
