OMAI, YONEKO, 88, passed away on Oct. 20, 2014. Born in Tokyo in 1926, she is survived by her husband, Paul Omai, daughter Judy Hamaguchi (Hajime), her beloved grandsons, Greg Hamaguchi, Dan Hamaguchi (Cindy), Tim Hamaguchi, Barry Hamaguchi, and great grandchildren Audrey, James, Maggie. Preceded in death by son Calvin Matsuo in 2011. Yoneko (Hisago no mama) and Paul owned Hisago Restaurant on Buchanan St. in SF Japantown from 1960-1974, forced to relocate by Redevelopment. She danced with Rokushige Fujima and loved taking ikebana. Her friends and family remember her as a strong, wise and generous person throughout her life. Memorial service on Sat., Nov. 15, 10 a.m., at the Buddhist Church of SF, 1881 Pine St.
