MORISHITA, YONE, 100, of San Francisco was born in 1914 in San Jose Japantown. She passed away peacefully on August 13 with family in attendance. Predeceased by her husband George, brothers Tokio and Moffet Ishikawa, and sister May Shimoguchi. Surviving her are son Alan (Michiko) with grandsons Michael and Brian, her daughters, Terry (John) Shimizu with grandsons David and Richard, and Marsha (Andy) Yamamoto with granddaughter Allison Ohori. She also has four great grandchildren. Yone will always be remembered for her kindness, promptness, her positive outlook on life, and will be missed by all of us that were touched by her smile.
A memorial service will be held at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, 640 North Fifth Street, Thursday, September 10 at 11am.
