TORIUMI, REIKO ‘RUTH,’ 94, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Dec 31, 2015 with her sons and daughter-in-law by her bedside.

For over 35yrs she was an original employee of the Nichi Bei Times. She is predeceased by her husband Misao, brothers Minoru, Sam, John and Sisters June and Evelyn Yamaguchi. Ruth was a very generous and giving person, respected by all, and her presence will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her Brothers Frank, Tom (Rae), Sister Betty Abe (Ted), sons Michael and Gerald (Petra), granddaughters Courtney, Keeley, and Reiko, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. At her request, a private family service will be held.
