OBITUARY: Ruby Aiko Ikuta

IKUTA, RUBY AIKO, 90, passed away peacefully on March 14th at her home in South Lake Tahoe, with her husband, Juichi ’Jay‘ Ikuta by her side. Born July 31, 1925, in San Francisco, childhood in Sacramento, WWII internment at Tule Lake with her parents, Kichisuke and Shizuo Nakamura, brothers Tetsujiro Nakamura, Hiroyuki George Nakamura, and sister Yuriko Lily Ishihara.

Ruby and Jay were two months shy of their 70th wedding anniversary. Ruby retired as a bookkeeper at Allergy and Asthma Clinic in San Jose. She loved retirement, living in Christmas Valley, surrounded by friends, and neighbors who loved her dearly.

Survived by her husband, Juichi Ikuta, and their children, Dale Ikuta, Joyce Fukuman, Carole Weihierich. Grandchildren are Emily Ikuta, David Ikuta, Sai Weihierich, and Michiko Weihierich.

Services will be held at Sacramento Buddhist Betsuin, Sat, April 2, 2016, 1:00 P.M.
