These organizations include:
• The Nichi Bei Foundation, the nonprofit publisher of the Nichi Bei Weekly and organizer of the annual Soy and Tofu Festival; Films of Remembrance, an annual all-day film festival dedicated to depicting stories on the Japanese American experience during World War II; the Nikkei Angel Island Pilgrimage; and various author series events featuring Nikkei authors and titles.
• Asian Americans for Community Involvement, whose mission, the nonprofit says, is to “improve the health, mental health, and well-being of individuals, families, and the Asian community.” (www.razoo.com/us/story/AACI)
• Yu-Ai Kai Japanese American Community Senior Service, a nonprofit senior center that’s located in San Jose’s Japantown. According to SVGives, “since its inception, SVGives has raised $15.8 million,” with more than 30,000 donors and more than 1,500 nonprofits having participated.
Donations are tax-deductible and non-refundable. People will be able to donate to an organization of their choice, with donations starting at $10. Donations may be made by credit card or debit card. Donations will be received and receipted by Razoo Foundation. A flat rate of “5.9% plus .30 cents” will be omitted from each donation, to cover the credit card processing and Razoo.com fees.
