  1. Jon Kubokawa says

    John and Ann,
My condolences to both of you. Your father was instrumental in helping form the Diablo Valley Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League. My father had recently remarried after the loss of his wife and was transferred to Fresno. Your father stepped in and finished my father’s term as president and served the following year. I would later serve the chapter as president 4 times, and represent the chapter at two National Conventions. Your mother was also an ardent supporter of the Chapter. I was hoping to sing the Irish Blessing at the recent Memorial, but computer systems problems made for a long work day.

    Sincerely, Jon Kubokawa
