MORI, ARRICE MITSUKO, 95, a native of San Francisco, was born on April 17, 1922, to parents Saichi and Matsuyo Mizono, founders/owners of Azumaya Tofu Company. Arrice passed away on August 14, 2017. Her brothers (George, Jack, and John) and sister (Mary Ishida) pre-deceased her. Arrice graduated from Commerce High School. During WWII, she and her family were interned in Topaz, Utah. She and her husband, Kazumi Kay Mori, were married in 1949 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2009. Kay passed away in 2011. Her life was dedicated to raising her 4 children: Jeffrey, Donna (deceased 2016), Jan, and Diane. Jimmie Naritomi has been a lifelong brother in the family.
She is survived by her children Jeff (Sandy), Jan (Dan), Diane (Jay); brother Isa (Toshi); sisters-in-law Alice Shibata, Mary Hiromoto; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A private family memorial service was held on Sept. 10, 2017, at the SF Buddhist Church.
