Doami, Junji “JDâ€, 90 passed away peacefully on July 4, 2018 at a nursing home in Alameda, CA. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patsy, daughter Linda (Chris) Wolff, granddaughter Emma, sister-in-law Koko, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Yutaro and Machi Doami, son Brian, brothers Tom, Rev. John, sister Yukie Nomura. Born in Hayward, CA, raised in San Francisco, CA and sent to an internment camp in Topaz, UT where he graduated with the Class of ’45. After 4 years in camp, he volunteered for the army and was stationed for 2 years in Trieste, Italy. After graduating from San Francisco City College, he worked for the SF City and County Public Utilities as a Construction Inspector, retiring at the age of 62. He enjoyed fly fishing, golfing, and traveling. He will be missed by many.
