OBITUARY: Tadashi “Tad” Teraura

TERAURA, TADASHI “TAD,” 96, passed away on December 10, 2018 after a short illness.

He was born on January 26, 1922, in Vacaville, CA. He was a self-employed landscaper for 30+ years and enjoyed fishing, watching professional football, going to the races and playing black jack. A long-time Berkeley resident, he enjoyed socializing at the local coffee shops with his wife.

He served in the U.S. Army, a World War II veteran.

Mr. Teraura is survived by his wife of 68 years, Yoshiko Teraura; son Richard (Ellie Mizuno) Teraura of San Ramon, son Ralph Teraura of Berkeley, daughter, Joyce (Terry) DeMars of Patterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kinsuke Teraura and Hana Teraura, and his brother Tomio Teraura.
