OBITUARY: Yutaka Yao

YAO, YUTAKA, 99, passed away in San Mateo on March 18, 2019.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, she moved to Japan at 4 years of age, returning to San Francisco in 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband, Yoshio, and is survived by son, Shinji (Yoshi) and daughter, Ayako (Ed) Nishimoto; Grandchildren, Carrie (Peter) Rembulat, Howard Nishimoto, Tracey (Matthew) Mukoyama, Mari Yao and Koji (Nicole) Yao; Great-Grandchildren, Kylie and Ryan Mukoyama, Sienna Rembulat, Carmelo and Teo Yao. She was a long-time member of the Buddhist Church of San Francisco and Buddhist Women’s Association. Family services were recently held. The family extends appreciation to Kimochi San Francisco and Kimochi San Mateo staff and caregivers for their kindness and care.
