Toshiko Furuichi Kawamoto

KAWAMOTO, TOSHIKO FURUICHI, 92, a California native and long-time Cupertino resident, passed away peacefully on December 21. Raised in Los Altos, she grew up on her family’s farm that would become the Furuichi Bros. Los Altos Nursery. The family was interned at Heart Mountain, Wyoming.
Toshiko was married to the late Dave Kawamoto and they settled in Cupertino where they opened a produce stand on Highway 9 (De Anza Blvd) and raised their family. She is survived by her four children: Jeanne Kawamoto; Donna Takasuka (Brad); David Kawamoto Jr; Janice Shue (Ken); and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be on January 4 at 2pm; Mountain View Buddhist Temple, 575 N. Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View, CA.
