Allan Takashi Inouye

Oct. 24, 1936 – May 26, 2021

 

INOUYE, ALLAN was born October 24, 1936, and passed away unexpectedly on May 26 2021, at the age of 84. At age 6, the family was relocated and interned during the war along with other families in Jerome, AR and Tule Lake, CA, from 1941-1946. The family returned to Fresno where he graduated from Edison High School. Where in college, Allan was drafted to the US Army and stationed in Panama. Later, he became a Grocery Store Manager for 30 years. He enjoyed all sports, stage plays, casino trips, cruise and time with friends. Has passion for world travels spanned over 60 years.

Allan was a very compassionate and generous brother survived by sister, Fran Imahara; nephew, Eric Imahara; aunt, Betsy Ichihara; cousins, Todd and Joann Ichihara, Richard and Betsy Honda; and many relatives in Hawaii and Japan. He was predeceased by parents, Fred and Kimiko Inouye; sister, Nancy N. Inouye; brother-in-law, Norman Imahara; uncle, George Ichihara and cousin, Janet Honda.

A joint Celebration of Life for Allan and Nancy Inouye will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fresno Buddhist Church. (Casual/Hawaiian Attire)
