Junko June Ohara
Oct. 2, 1926 – Nov. 16, 2021
Heaven has gained a special angel. OHARA, JUNKO JUNE, born 10/2/26 in Fresno, Ca. left us on 11/16/21 at the age of 95 yrs. She was born to parents Chouji and Tami, who preceded her in death, also June’s only sister, Chisato Ohara and her cat, Kozo. June worked most of her life at UCSF in the medical field before retiring. She was an avid SF 49ers fan and a season ticket holder until they moved to Santa Clara in 2014. She also volunteered her time to many organizations in SF. June will be missed dearly by all, especially by her two close family friends, Gordon Hattori and Karen Hill, who adopted “Auntie June”. There’s no other person on this earth that could ever replace June. The last thing that we told Auntie June was to “make sure you behave yourself”. We will be watching you from afar.
We would like to thank Linda Ishii and the Kimochi Home for taking care of June from 10/2018 until her passing.
Memorial service will be held at Pine Methodist Church (426 33rd Ave, SF) at 11am on 12/18/21. Based on June’s wishes, graveside services will be at Fresno Memorial Garden, at 10 am, on 12/21/21. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
