Toru Honda

Aug. 10, 1926 – Jan. 15, 2022

We were lucky to learn many valuable lessons from Toru (pops/grandpa) Honda during his 95 years, among them: Shoot the ball more, stop passing it, a glass of wine at night is not a bad thing, always a ride or die a Niner fan, always be ready for a trip to the casino by having your gambling money on you at all times, all these DVDS will be YOURS when I pass, I can teach the girls how to drive when the time comes, mom and I want to live and die in our house and you need to make that happen. Lastly, “This is your life to live, not mine, do your best and I will always support you. Have no regrets.” Toru always lived his life his way, so why should his passing be any different? On Jan. 15, 2022, Toru passed away peacefully in his recliner watching television. His daughter (Julie Honda-Tsuye), son-in-law (Kyle Tsuye) and grandchildren (Makena and Malia Tsuye) made him proud with everything they did. He is now with his wife (Alice Honda) and they are enjoying playing poker, hosting parties, and watching the 49er games together. We will never forget what a special man he was.

Due to COVID concerns, a celebration of life will be held at a later date when it is deemed safe.

The Honda/Tsuye family would like to thank family and friends for their love and support.
