Dolly Shinobu Hamamoto

April. 21, 1936 – Dec. 18, 2021

HAMAMOTO, DOLLY SHINOBU passed away peacefully on December 18, 2021. Dolly was born in Sacramento, Ca. to Takeo (Gus) and Tameyo Tsujisaka. She was incarcerated at the Topaz Concentration Camp during World War II then moved to Denver, Colorado. She then moved to San Francisco, Ca and attended Marina Jr. High and George Washington High School. She was the youngest of five children and was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Stan, Robert (Bob) and sisters Alice Nishihara and Grace Nakai. She is survived by her son, Scott, daughter Jennifer (Phil), granddaughters Justina, Jordyn and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 27 at 1pm, 2022 at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California at 1840 Sutter Street, San Francisco. Refreshments to follow. All that attend must show proof of full vaccination.
