Lorraine (Lorie) Misako Suzuki

March 3, 1928 – June 6, 2023

SUZUKI, LORRAINE (LORIE) MISAKO, former resident of San Francisco, passed away peacefully in Pleasanton, CA on June 6, 2023. She was born in Sacramento on March 3, 1928 to Funari and Yujiro Kurihara. During WW II, she was relocated to Merced Assembly Center and later interned in Amache Colorado. After the war she joined her sister Mary in Chicago IL before settling in San Francisco. She married Harry Suzuki on Aug. 2, 1959. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry after almost 52 years of marriage. She is also preceded by her parents, sisters Mary and Sue, and brother Pete. She is survived by her daughter Joi (Chris), grandchildren Nicole and CJ, and many nieces and nephews. Lorie will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, and thoughtfulness. After she moved to Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community, she kept active in her daily exercises and playing cards or Mah Jong. She had a wonderful life and will be missed by all who knew her.
