Masao Handa

HANDA, MASAO, 91, of San Francisco, passed away on September 25, 2023.
Masao, known as Sam, is survived by his wife Setsuko, children Craig (Kathy), Masahiro and Masahisa, grandchildren Anthony, Derek, Isabel and Estelle, siblings Matsuno (Henry), Mitsuko (Yoshi) and Chuzo (Yuko), and sisters-in-law Saki and Tokiko.

Masao immigrated to the U.S. in the 1950’s to seek out better opportunities, and was able to combine his hard-working ethics and natural business instincts to establish a successful 40+ year career in automotive services, eventually leading to owning his own auto shop in San Francisco. Some of his most fond hobbies included golf, listening to music, ballroom dancing, and salsa.

A celebration of life ceremony was held at The Buddhist Church of San Francisco.
