Berkeley: “Tokyo Workshop: Architecture.Energy.2011”

The Institute of East Asian Studies, located at 2223 Fulton, Sixth Floor, at UC Berkeley in Berkeley, Calif., will hold the “Tokyo Workshop: Architecture.Energy.2011” from 4 to 6 p.m. at the IEAS Conference Room. Following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in northern Japan, a team from UC Berkeley organized a summer workshop in Tokyo to share low-consumption approaches to natural energy resources and energy saving. Panel/discussants — Dana Buntrock, professor of Architecture, UC Berkeley; Norihisa Kawashima, architect, Nikken Sekkei; Susan Ubbelohde, professor of architecture, UC Berkeley; Brendon Levitt, associate, Loisos + Ubbelohde — will discuss these matters.
