Lawson Inada, a former Oregon poet laureate, and Judith Kajiwara, artist in residence at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center, will speak and give readings from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Berkeley United Methodist Church, located at 1710 Carleton St. in Berkeley, Calif. J-Sei (formerly known as the Japanese American Services of the East Bay) organized the event, entitled “An Evening with Lawson Inada and Judith Kajiwara.” The event will begin with a social hour.
