The California State University (CSU) Office of the Chancellor has completed six videos to honor Nisei who received honorary bachelor’s degrees from the university’s board of trustees. “The California State University: Sharing and Celebrating Stories from Nisei Honorary Degree Recipients” videos feature interviews with recipients and/or the families of those who were awarded the degrees posthumously. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, 1840 Sutter St. in S.F.’s Japantown at 6 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 26 at CSU East Bay, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd., Hayward at 4 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Japanese American National Museum of San Jose, 535 North Fifth St., San Jose’s Japantown, 4 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 28 at Fresno State University, Madden Library, 2nd Floor, 55241 North Maple Ave., Fresno, 4 p.m. Discussion and refreshments will follow the screenings.
