CC: “An American Story of WWII: The Triumph and Tragedy of the Japanese American Community During Wartime” film screening

The Watsonville-Santa Cruz chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League and the Watsonville Public Library will host the premiere of “An American Story of WWII: The Triumph and Tragedy of the Japanese American Community During Wartime” from 2 to 4 p.m. at the JACL Kizuka Hall, 150 Blackburn St., Watsonville, Calif. The documentary, by librarian Heather Geddes, is the product of a yearlong collaboration to collect and record the stories of local Japanese Americans who were unjustly imprisoned during World War II.
