CC: Celadon Inc. will hold its “Japanese American Day of Remembrance” ends

Celadon Inc. will hold its “Japanese American Day of Remembrance” Sunday, Feb. 19, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at The Independent, located at 600 Ortiz Ave. in Sand City, Calif. Flauitist Elizabeth Miranda   Todd and members of Watsonville Taiko Photojournalist Tom Graves will present a talk entitled “Gold Medal Heroes: Our Nisei Veterans” at 6:30 p.m. Larry Oda, past national president of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), will give introductory remarks. Refreshments will be served. Donations will be accepted. “Heroes All:  Our Nisei Veterans, Photographic Portraits” by Tom Graves, is presented in tandem with “ Transcendental Vision.” Graves’ black and white photographs capture images of the veterans’ 70 years after America’s entry into World War II.
