CC: Clark Center bamboo sculpture exhibit opens

The Clark Center for Japanese Art and Culture opens a bamboo sculpture exhibition, “Modern Twist: Contemporary Japanese Bamboo Art” at 15770 Tenth Ave., Hanford, Calif. Info: www.ccjac.org or (559) 582-4915. This exhibit presents 26 bamboo artworks by 12 different artists. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Andreas Marks, Director and Chief Curator, the Clark Center of Japanese Art and Culture. The Clark Center for Japanese Art & Culture is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 12:30 to 5 p.m. with a docent tour every Saturday at 1 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and active military (with ID), 12 and under are free. Closed on National holidays and the month of August.
