The fourth annual Salinas Asian Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with taiko drumming at the opening ceremony, at the lot adjacent to the Old Republic Café located on 37 Soledad St. in Salinas, Calif.The Festival celebrates the cultural and historical presence of the Chinese, Filipino, and Japanese communities in Salinas. There will be guided tours highlighting the history of the neighborhood, including the Buddhist Temple and the Bing Kong Tong meeting hall and alter.
