The National Steinbeck Center, One Main St. in Oldtown Salinas, Calif., will display the “Japanese History: In Salinas Chinatown” exhibit. The exhibit reflects the Japanese immigrant and Nikkei experience as farmers and merchants, as well as the discrimination they experienced.
