The Watsonville-Santa Cruz, Gilroy, Monterey Peninsula, Salinas Valley, and San Benito County JACL chapters will host “Hold These Truths: The Journey of Gordon Hirabayashi, “a play written by Jeana Sakata, in observance on the Day of Remembrance at the Salinas Communiy Center, 940 N. Main St., Salinas, Calif. The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Salinas Assembly Center’s historical marker, next to the Japanese American Memorial Garden, weather permitting. Event is free.
