The San Francisco-Japantown-based nihonmachiROOTS, will hold a coffee date Sunday, Feb. 27 for Shin-Issei and Shin-Nisei from 2 to 4 p.m. at the NEW PEOPLE Café, located at 1746 Post St. in San Francisco’s Japantown.
The event aims to help “build our identity, our second home, our community.”
Shin-Issei are Japanese are immigrants who left Japan for the U.S. after World War II, and Shin-Nisei are their children.
